Have you heard about POS inspections?

Today I spent several hours in a class which was so boring. But one interesting thing came up. POS inspections. POS stands for point of sale. Point of sale inspections are inspections done at the time of the transfer of the property. In some areas they have these inspections on wood burning stove and fireplaces in order to ensure they are not releasing too many bad emissions. But, the way the bill was originally drafted it would include windows and appliances. Not only that but it would be on ALL houses sold. For those of you who have been to my house, can you imagine the drama that would have come from that.

Then if it is not up to their standard either the seller fixes it or the buyer ponies up the money....or what? I guess it doesn't get sold. What a nightmare
