EW GROSS

I confess, we have an INFESTATION!!! And it is out of control to the point which we just do not know what to do. A couple days ago Buttercup got one in the driveway. Jim left it for me to see, so I could make sure it was mouse (and not the three letter R word!). Gee, thanks. It was 90 degrees outside. Can you imagine what it smelled like??? Then I stepped on it. Jim got "the look" for that one. He quickly cleaned it up.

Well the next day Buttercup was out with one in the driveway. It was a game. Pick up mouse, drop mouse, bat at mouse until it runs, pick up mouse...repeat! Over and over again!! Seriously nasty.

Jump to last night. Petunia was chasing something, yeah a mouse. Sweet Pea wanted in on the fun. So she took the mouse from Petunia and took it to the play room. EW ICK GROSS. The picture of Petunia with the mouse is exceptionally gross. She has always had really goopy eyes, then the light hit her just wrong and she looks like a devil cat. Add the mouse in the mouth and I don't want her near me. Bleach and a toothbrush might be needed

The big problem is that we can't use poison. We did that last year and Molly caught one or more half dead mice, ate them, and did bloody globs of poopy and caused a nice big vet bill and worse yet, a very close call which we don't care to repeat.

Sweet Pea does not like the snow. She "hugged me" when we went outside. Some would say she was clinging to me for dear life, but I think it felt like hugging!!
