An ah-ha moment

I was reading a little blurb today and I was happy. Finally something made sense to me. You know how the media constantly reports on the doom of the real estate world and the streets lined with for sale or foreclosure signs? I just never get it, I don't see that.

Well..........finally it makes sense. The chief economist at the National Association of Realtors put out a little study and guess which state has the LOWEST foreclosure rates in the entire nation??? Yep indeed, it is Oregon. Guess who is second? Washington....who knew?

My First BPO

I always dreamed of getting a BPO and today I finally did one. What is a BPO? Well, I will tell you. It stands for Broker Price Opinion. Can you imagine...somebody paid me for my opinion? And all these years I have been giving it away for free. When properties are going into foreclsoure a bank will call upon a Realtor to do a quick opinion of the value of the property. I never know how to "get in" with these banks. Finally, one thing led to another and I got in. They paid me a whole $50...that almost covered the gas to drive out to Veneta and the quick dinner Jim and i had to celebrate the occasion.
