13 days into my cost cutting adventure

Hi everyone!

I am doing pretty well at this. I have done ONE load of laundry in the dryer in the last 13 days. Can you believe it? I despise drying clothes outside and I don't even have a line. I have hangers, a ladder, the edge of the table, a plant hook or two and the bbq. Pretty pathetic, but it gets the job done. I did machine dry the whites. Too many little socks and size 8 underwear (Spencer not me, but thanks for the thought!!).

Based on the information I can find, it costs about $0.40 to dry a load of clothes in a gas dryer. It takes about 80 minutes for a load to dry in this house.

I have a challenge for all of you. I will send a set of 12 hand made general occasion greeting cards to the person who can find the most accurate information to determine the cost for me to dry a load of clothes. It is gas and my dryer is about 8 years old. These are 12 really cool cards I made!!!

If the $0.40 is correct and based on the 10 loads of clothes I do per week, that is $16 per month.
