This is what I find amazing.

Birmingham Alabama has allowed many of the government employees to cut back to a 4 day work week, 10 hours each day. This report I was just watching also commented on the increase in carpooling. Next year Utah is going to shut down government offices on Fridays to the tune of a $6 million dollar budget savings. Yeah, that's great, but seriously, no government offices on Friday???? How about if they split that half Monday and half Friday? I don't know.

Well here is what really amazes me about our over consuming society, and take note I am just as if not more guilty than the rest of us. Back when gas was "cheap" I was spending $350 or more per month on gas. Two weeks ago I watched how much I spent during one week....are you ready??? $40!! Okay, so school is out, which really helps, but still, $40? Pretty amazing. Now that we are all so hyper focused on prices we reduce our consumption, why not reduce our consumption because it is the right thing to do?
