Uh Oh Our First Broken Bone?

Spencer injured himself at camp. Jim has 2 criteria to for broken bones. It has to be swollen and there needs to be a bruise. Well, this time it was very swollen and the bruise was just a line, one on each joint on his finger. We decided it could actually be broken this time

So we called the doctor. His nurse said he was very good at telling if something was broken, but sadly he could not tell. Back in the car, drive down the street, enter building, and get x-ray.

Then we went home and waited. The call finally came. Bummer deal, no breaks! We were so excited to scrapbook his first broken bone, not today. However, it is a very bad sprain and he will have to wear the large splint for 10-14 days. No worries, he has figured out how to manipulate game controllers while wearing the sprint.

Oh, by the way. The cat in the photo is not Sweet Pea, it is Ted, our new kitty!!
